Dashe gets the Dog of the Year trophy. The priorities of care for the kids, and long days away have made this year much less fun, and a lot more lonely for him. This is most evidenced by his very evident moping when a friend or family member has come, and then leaves. Nonetheless, we have prioritized walks and backyard ball-play with him, which he can never get enough of.

He also had a few vacations himself, going to fellow church members’ homes while we were out of town. He is such a sweet boy and has been a source of comfort for Kiya… if not also the kids. He is ever-lovable, always loyal, and the best pup anyone could ask for,
